About this talk

Learn about the Jewish presence in Colombia—its historical roots, how communities were established, the challenges we faced during the country's armed conflict, and how our identity has been shaped by these experiences.

My name is Vivianne, and I am a third-generation Jew living in Bogotá, Colombia's capital. I will share my family's history as a springboard to introduce you to my community and country, enriched with fascinating historical anecdotes. I will also explore the recent resurgence of people rediscovering their lost Jewish roots.
